What’s The Difference Between Windows Live Messenger And Msn Messenger?
Filed in MSN Messenger on Jan.24, 2010
I just bought a webcam and trying to figure out which messenger to use. All the webcams are promoting Windows Live Messenger. Is it the same as MSN Messenger? And if not, which one should I use?

MSN Messenger is the built-in software which comes with Windows XP. It has less functionality as compared to WLM (Windows Live Messenger).
My advise is to stick to WLM because you have lots more features to play around (custom emoticons, winks, nudge, games, etc etc…)

Live is the newer, updated one. It’s a little bit better.

Msn messenger is an older version of msn but you can still use it.
But the best latest msn live can be found here:http://get.live.com/messenger/overview
it allows you to send and recieve photos more effectively, play games, send winks [animated pics] and use webcam better which i’m sure is what you’re looking for.
