Hi Bing Bang Boom BARROS!,
My name is Ron, and I’m a member of the Windows Outreach Team.
Basically, you can think about it like this: Windows Live Messenger is the latest messenger from Microsoft and takes the place of the previous versions of Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger.
You can download Windows Live Messenger, along with the other Windows Live tools here: http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Ron

MSN Messenger is the name of the original instant messaging application designed by Microsoft. In the last few years, Microsoft as revamped and made many improvements on this software and have re-rereleased it as Windows Live Messenger.
MSN Messenger is old and outdated. There are many bugs and security holes which can make your system succeptible to malware and internet attacks. This is one of the reasons why Microsoft chose to wholly replace the old application.
Stick to the latest version, which is Windows Live Messenger.

same thing.. just that microsoft got retarted and changed everything to “live” and made things look worse.. even hotmail! I liked the old system better.. now we can’t even use MSN anymore! seems most people still call it MSN tho.. I still do! but ya windows live is just MSN with a name change. I personally miss the MSN and regular hotmail inbox.
