How Do I Delete Live Msn Messenger Without Deleting All My Shared Files And Smileys?

I just downloaded the newest updated live messenger version and I don’t like it at all. I want my old one back and I have it’s setup. But it won’t install or deinstall anything, coz I have the newest version. Also in “add or remove” thingie, msn messenger simply does not show up. And I can’t find it manually in any folder… pls help.

I have the same problem as you. I don’t like the new one and i’m not used to it. The features have changed and it doesn’t feel right. I just changed it recently. But my guess, if uninstall it, your shared files and smileys will still be there because its already loaded to your documents, but not quite sure. You can try it at your own risk. I haven’t done it yet. im searching a way to do so before i’m entirely sure that it wont remove my stuff. by the way, to uninstall it, in the ‘add or remove’ thing, its called windows live essentials. hope this gives you some ideas and make sure you are confident that your files wont get deleted.
Update: I finally found out how to uninstall it! First you have to go to “C:Program FilesWindows LiveInstaller” . Then click ‘wlarb’ and choose uninstall. choose to uninstall messenger and there you go!
